Elaric resides in the eastern hemisphere of Europe. Once, he lived a quiet and faithful life, raised by parents who devoted themselves to religion and tradition. Their deaths were ruled as “natural,” yet Elaric always felt something was deeply wrong. The circumstances never sat right with him, and the answers he sought never came.
Deeply religious, Elaric followed in his mother’s footsteps and devoted himself to service under a supreme cathedral. His faith was unwavering, reinforced daily through scripture, ritual, and obedience. For years, he lived without question, believing order and salvation were absolute.
Over time, curiosity took root. Hidden within the cathedral’s private archives were records of supernatural cases—exorcisms, disappearances, manifestations, and sealed testimonies never meant for public eyes. Elaric read them in secret. What began as study became obsession.
He eventually walked the path of an exorcist, believing this was his calling. Not out of fear, but duty. He believed evil must be confronted directly, even if faith alone was not enough.
Years later, he met a woman named Claire. For the first time in his life, the future felt clear. They planned to leave the cities behind, to live quietly on their own land, far from noise, far from shadows. Marriage was promised.
That future collapsed when an incident occurred at the cathedral. A person—or something— arrived screaming that the end was coming. Armageddon. Judgment. They threw themselves before the doors, screaming scripture before violently smashing their head against the stone floor until their skull gave way.
Elaric was disturbed beyond faith. So were the others.
Not long after, Claire vanished.
